These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by ScoopMaven ("we", "us", "our") to the customer ("you", "your"). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services
We provide pet waste management services for residential/commercial properties. Services may include one-off cleans, scheduled visits and sanitisation treatments, as agreed at the time of booking.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services at our discretion, including where conditions are unsafe or access is restricted.

2. Bookings and Access
- Customers must provide accurate information when booking.
- You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the service area at the scheduled time.
- Gates must be unlocked and pets secured where necessary.
- If access is not possible, the visit may be charged in full.

3. Pricing and Payment
- Prices are agreed at the time of booking and may vary based on property size, number of pets and condition of the area.
- Payment is due at the time of booking and in advance of any further appointments going forward.
- Late payments may result in suspension of services.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged.
- We may reschedule due to weather, safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances.

5. Health and Safety
- We prioritise the safety of our staff and your pets.
- Aggressive animals must be secured prior to our arrival.
- We are not responsible for injuries to unsecured pets during service.

6. Waste Disposal
- Collected waste will be disposed of hygienically and responsibly in accordance with local regulations (e.g. left in customer-designated bins).

7. Liability and Service-Specific Waivers (UK Legal Compliance)
- This section is intended to comply with applicable UK legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

7.1 Nothing in these Terms
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

7.2 Standard of Service
- We will provide services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

7.3 Limitation of Liability
Subject to clause 7.1:
- Our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, loss of use, or loss of opportunity.

7.4 Property and Environmental Risks
- You acknowledge that outdoor environments present inherent and variable risks, including hidden objects, uneven surfaces, sharp materials, animal waste contamination and weather-related hazards.

- We shall not be liable for damage caused by undisclosed or concealed hazards present on the property.
- We shall not be responsible for deterioration, staining, or damage to lawns, turf, soil, decking or other surfaces where such damage is a pre-existing condition or a natural consequence of pet waste accumulation.

7.5 Access and Security
- You are responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access to the service area.
- We shall not be liable for damage arising from defective gates, fences, locks or boundary failures.
- We shall not be responsible for the escape, loss, or injury of any animal due to inadequate or insecure enclosures.

7.6 Animals and Behaviour
- You must ensure that all animals are properly controlled and do not pose a risk to personnel.
- We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services where an animal presents a safety concern.
- We shall not be liable for injury, illness or behavioural incidents involving your animals except where directly caused by our negligence.

7.7 Biohazard Disclaimer
- You acknowledge that pet waste may contain bacteria, parasites and other pathogens.
- While we adopt reasonable hygiene practices, we do not warrant or guarantee the complete sanitisation or decontamination of any area.
- Responsibility for ongoing hygiene and safety of the premises remains with you following service completion.

7.8 Third-Party and External Factors
- We shall not be liable for waste, contamination or damage caused by animals other than those under your ownership or control.
- We shall not be liable for delays, inability to perform or incomplete services resulting from events outside our reasonable control, including adverse weather, flooding, frozen ground or access restrictions.

7.9 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including legal costs) arising from:
- your failure to provide a safe working environment;
- failure to disclose known hazards;
- breach of these Terms; or
- the actions or behaviour of your animals.

7.10 Reasonableness
- All limitations and exclusions in this clause are intended to be reasonable within the meaning of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

8. Satisfaction Guarantee
- If you are not satisfied with our service, please notify us within 24 hours. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue, which may include a re-visit.

9. Privacy
- We will handle your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Your details will only be used to provide our services and will not be shared without consent.

10. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
